Well I want to use thunderbird with gmail so I have to download a program to make gmail pop3. My friend told me to download PGTGM so I did. But now when I install it it says: "The port you were attemping to use is in use. Please select a new port for the POP3 server." Can you help me? I know this is a stupid question but what's a port? Well, I just installed Kerio Personal Firewall, and set the firewall to block the Ads on the web. Then when I wanted to check my Gmail inbox it didn't work at all!!! Guess what I just found out, if you have a message to long for gmail to read it will be clipped, cut off, unretrevable in HTML format. Rather you have to read through the "Origional Message" which if you recieve html newsletters is just a pain.

I've been noticing some things on the gmail site that are a bit annoying and makes you want to log the heck out. for example some of the functions on the section that you read the email on are almsot hidden due to the extremely small font size. like the forward and reply are not buttons, they are links and they are very small. Does anyone use Gmail notifier? I had it installed on my computer but it seems like it is screwing up my internet explorer. The file menu goes invisible. When I click where the file menu should be, the drop down shows up. But, my favorites are empty and also the Tools menu doesn't contain anything. It is really weird. b.t.w. Gmail-when it first came out- believe it or not offered 300GB to every user...now it is down to 2000 MB.....so it is getting MUCH lower, but with all the users now, I can see why--it requires to much server space and bandwith to give for free!

Hey everyone! While surfing the internet I found out an intersing report..which claims that Gmail is using Sophos as the antivirus. This guy used a free service in which he sent out some malwares and that service gave out the report of major antiviruses...like which one detected it and which didnt. And then he compared it with Gmail....and the results show that Gmail found out exactly the same malwares which sophos found...so that means there algorithm is same...so it has to be sophos!

The Vulnerability is that, "the javascriptcode present in the message will run if it is withing the preview of the message". This vulnerability will lead the hackers to access ones Inbox and execute the code that can stel information like Email Ids or important details from your mails. The tester has found this vulnerability when he sent a mail containing a javascript code, from his Yahoo ID to GMail.
